I dug this coffee table out of my parents storage unit and have had it sitting in the garage gathering dust for several months. I didn't really know what I wanted to do with it, but knew I wanted to do something that would highlight the woodwork around the edges. I sanded it all down and then spray paint primed it. Here it is sanded down.
After a couple coats of yellow paint.
The finished product. I kind of experimented with this. I basically used a sponge and wiped stain on it and let it sit for a litlte bit, then just wiped if off. It was the look I was going for on the sides, not in love with the top, but it is pretty much what I wanted the end result to be; antiqued yellow.
I put it up for sale on Craigslist, since I don't have anywher to put it, so hope it finds a home soon. Thanks for looking.
