Weecycle

So my mom has opened up a children's & materiny consignment store now that she is in her post-Verizon career phase. She named it Weecycle and it is located in Trellis Square on Rodney Parham (across from K-Mart). The space she leased was a shell and she needed a window display area and she wanted a "Kiddie Corral" so that moms could shop and their kids could play and not have to worry about them getting out and running around.

I started the corral by basically building a small fence in 2 big pieces that I joined together with Kreg jig screws. This this is sturdy and came out really good and the kids love it!

For the window display, we went back and forth on how to build it and how to top it off. We finally decided to just use particle board and I sanded it down really well and we painted it with the same paint we used on the walls. Obviously, my first time to build something like this, but it came out very welll and you could probably stand an elephant on there and it would hold!

She wanted some storage underneath, so I made some false doors that she can pull of and access the underside of the display.

She has been open a couple of weeks and has some good stuff and always looking for consigned items, so check out her facebook page for more information.

Thanks for looking!
